it seems as though i never write on xanga anymore. oh well. i really do not have the time to often but when i do, i will write.

lately, i've had such a nice time with jon. we have been planning our wedding and have not been stressed out. we have been plugging away and are drawing to the finish line very shortly. it is less than 24 days away. i like the feeling i get as it becomes nearer.

also i have been hanging out with my sister on saturdays. we have been playing volleyball and sting till 1 in the morning. it is a very wonderful game. i am glad they meet every saturday night.

danielle is becoming intersted in a guy. what an exciting truth. i thought it would never happen. well i knew it would but not for a long time, at least in my mind.

i am cooking a home cooked meal for my family and for jon. i really hope it turns out well. i will be keeping my fingers crossed the whole time i am cooking it. then i plan to go and play basketball with jon and then if there is time watch a movie. oh yeah, i forgot to tell you the ocassion, it is our 10 month anniversary! He is the most wonderful man i know so i hope this blesses him!

well i got to go. love you all!

the news i have to tell you...

lol

really, once again, nothing is toooooo exciting in my life. i am still working at friendly's and i am still planning for my wedding coming up shortly. April 22nd is surely flying toward me at warped speed.

i hope everyone else is doing alright. it stinks us college aged kids are sooo busy with life that we cant spend time just hanging like we used to. but i know that seasons change in each and everyone's life. so...no hard feelings! hope life is treating you well!

For a while now, I have been slowly soaking in many ideas and truths from a book I hold very dear called, "Captivating"-unveiling the mysteries of a woman's soul. I absolutely love books from which I can learn and indeed I am learning!

I've been learning about the strength of a man. Man in his very essence is strength. A man is meant to be the incarnation-our experience in human form-of our Warrior God. A God who comes through for us. (pg. 128)

The strength of a man is often mistaken. It is seen as physical strength-the size of his muscles, when in reality, if the only strength the men in our lives possess is physical then they are weak and are hollow. The strength, john and stasi eldredge are speaking of, is a soulish strength-the strength of his heart!. It is a strength in which the men in our lives speak on our behalf. "For when men abuse with words, we are pierced. Their strength has wounded us. When they are silent, (in our affliction) we are starved. But when they speak with us, hear us, offer their words to us and on our behalf, something in our hearts is able to rest." (pg.129)

As women we also long to be protected and shielded from physical, emotional, and spiritual attack. To pray for us in difficulty and stand up for us when we cannot stand for ourselves.

I can name countless times where my Jonathan has shown the inner strength all men were designed to live out. There was a certain situation about 5 months ago where I was hurt from an attack from the enemy on a job I've had for a while. (mr.mike's) And he in my up most need, stood up by my side and offered his words and his prayers. After he prayed for me, and ushered in his car the presence of the Lord, I knew in my heart everything was going to be just fine. He really saw me through! I will always remember the strength he has!

And even now, I know in our time of hardship, he will continue to be that man of strength. The one who fights for us-our relationship, to make sure it is protected. I love that about you, Jon! You have what it takes. We will make it through whatever comes our way!

I love you Jonathan and I always will stand by you!!!

the entire weekend is here for me to enjoy without the worry of when it is i must work. i thoroughly enjoyed spending my friday night out late with jon. we played scrabble (one of my favorite games) talked and listened to music. it made for a wonderful evening, and then again, every evening spent with my fiance is magical.

i am trying to figure out what is new in my life but i am realizing there isnt much. so in conclusion, i am not going to hold you up much longer.

love and hugs,

ang
